Services for Urgent Mental Health Support in Berkshire

Should you feel unable to keep yourself safe, or you fear for someone else, please use these services:

  • Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team are available 24/7. This service is for adults experiencing mental health crisis.
  • You can self-refer or be referred by someone else such as a family member, carer or a professional.

Military Veterans and Serving Personnel

We understand the struggle that personnel may have when leaving the military. Just finding a GP can be hard. Support for military veterans offering practical, emotional, financial (and anything else) is available.

  • SSAFA, the armed forces charity. Offer lifelong support for veterans and help for serving soldiers and their families. Telephone support on 0800 260 6780. They also offer live chat on their website https://www.ssafa.org.uk
  • Help for Heroes. Offer support including mental health services to veterans and their families. You can submit an online form or telephone 0300 303 9888. https://www.helpforheroes.org.uk

Pregnancy, Miscarriage and Post-Natal Support

Pregnancy can be a wonderful time. But it can also bring a host of negative feelings or fear. The tragedy of miscarriage can be brushed aside, particularly if a baby is lost in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
