Crisis Information Statement

At Fundamental Health Ltd, we provide scheduled mental health assessments and brief interventions for adults. While we are committed to offering compassionate, professional care, we are not an emergency or crisis service and cannot provide immediate or 24-hour support.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, are concerned about your immediate safety, or believe you may act on thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, please seek urgent help immediately rather than waiting for your next appointment or contacting us by email.

If you are in immediate danger

Call 999 and request an ambulance if you or someone else is at immediate risk of serious harm.

If you need urgent mental health support

You can access urgent help by:

  • Contacting your GP and requesting an urgent appointment.

  • Contacting your local NHS Mental Health Crisis Team if you are already known to mental health services.
  • Attending your nearest Emergency Department (A&E) if you cannot keep yourself safe.

Existing Clients

If you are currently receiving support from Fundamental Health Ltd and your mental health deteriorates between appointments, please use the emergency services listed above. Emails, voicemail messages and website enquiries are not monitored continuously and should never be relied upon in an emergency.

Safeguarding

Registered Mental Health Practitioners have a professional and legal duty to act where there is a significant risk of serious harm to you or another person. If there is an immediate risk to your safety or the safety of others, the practitioner may need to share relevant information with emergency services or other appropriate agencies, even without your consent. Wherever possible, this will be discussed with you first.

Commitment to Your Care

Fundamental Health Ltd is committed to providing safe, compassionate and evidence-based mental health care within the scope of our service. If, during an assessment or intervention it becomes clear that your needs would be better met by another service, the practitioner will discuss this with you and, where appropriate, support you in accessing the most suitable care.
